What Materials Are Used To Build Your Sheds & Cabins?

We use treated timber to develop our garden sheds. Materials are sourced from ethical sources, and sustainability is at the heart and focus of everything they do.

Are The Sheds Weatherproof & Suitable For Year-Round Use?

Yes, treated timber is weather-resistant – even to the UK’s typically unfriendly weather – and we also provide felting to attach to the top of your shed roof for extra protection.

Can I Customise The Size Or Design Of A Shed?

Absolutely! If you contact us before you make an order, we can help you create the bespoke shed type you are looking for.

Do Your Sheds Come With Flooring Included?

Yes, we provide base flooring for you to use as part of your shed installation. However, you will need to source a base—such as concrete paving—to place your shed on. For help finding a base, contact us.

How Are The Windows Made? Are They Shatter Resistant?

Yes, we use shatter-resistant glass in your shed. Other models use styrene, another form of shatter-proof window material. 

Can I Insulate The Shed For Added Comfort In Winter?

Yes, we provide insulation add-ons that you can buy with your garden shed purchase. If you want extra heating, just add insulation to your order when buying!

What Type Of Roof Is Used On Your Products? Is It Waterproof?

Our sheds for sale have wooden roofs that are then felted over with a waterproof felt material.

Do Your Sheds Require Regular Maintenance?

We recommend reviewing your shed regularly to look for any signs of wear and tear. Our products come with long-term guarantees of sturdiness, but we do recommend an annual review.

SHIPPING

How long does it take for my shed to be delivered?

Delivery times vary depending on several factors, such as the time it takes to create the shed shell and your location (we are based in Plymouth). Custom garden sheds can take longer. We will provide you with a clear timeframe for delivery at each stage of the order process.

Do you deliver to all areas in the UK?

We deliver to all of Mainland UK (inc. Northern Ireland).

If you have any queries about a specific delivery location, do not hesitate to contact us.

Will I be notified before my delivery date?

Yes, as the order progresses, we will contact you with a delivery date of around 7-10 days before we can commit to delivery. Once the delivery date is confirmed, we will carry out your order and manufacture your shed. Please inform us of any delivery dates that you cannot abide by so we can plan accordingly. 

Can I schedule a specific delivery time?

When we contact you with your delivery time slot, we will do our best to accommodate any wishes that you have. We will do our best to find the right timeframe for you, but please note that rejecting a delivery slot could mean delays. As always, we will do our best to keep you informed. 

How is the product packaged for delivery?

We package our shed and other products using our fleet of flatbed trucks and HIAB vehicles. However, we also use third-party couriers, which use artic lorries and box lorries to manage the delivery. All products go through a thorough packing process to minimise the risk of collateral damage as much as possible. 

Do you offer assembly upon delivery?

Yes, we have a professional installation service. However, please note that installation usually occurs on a separate day after delivery. We will do our best to be as prompt as possible to begin the installation process for you after delivery.

Is there an extra charge for delivery?

At Plymouth Sheds, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, and that is true of our delivery. When you order with us, you get FREE delivery no matter what your order includes!

What happens if there is a delay in delivery?

We will do everything possible to keep you informed throughout the delivery process. Should the delivery be delayed for any reason, we will give you as much express notice as we can. If anything changes on your end or issues emerge, such as restrictions in your local area that could impact delivery, please contact us ASAP. 

PAYMENT

What payment methods do you accept?

Our currently accepted payment method is card payments, which we accept through our SSL-secured payment platform. We also provide finance, which you can apply for when making your purchase. 

Can I pay in installments or use financing options?

Ys, we provide you with a financing option that you can use. These break the payments down into manageable monthly payments as opposed to a one-off purchase. If you would like to discuss taking on a finance plan, please get in touch with us with your details and intentions, and we can discuss it accordingly.

Is there a deposit required when placing an order?

When placing an order with Plymouth Sheds, we ask that the order be paid for in full using our website. You can split the cost of payment over a longer period by using our finance option.

Are online payments secure on your website?

Yes, absolutely. We use encrypted, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) secured payment management systems. Any payments put through our system are discrete, 100% safe, and completely confidential. 

Do you offer discounts for bulk purchases?

Yes, we do indeed! You can get more information about the kind of discount(s) we can offer for the bulk package(s) you have in mind by contacting us on 01752 916082. We can give you more details then.

Will I receive an invoice for my purchase?

Yes, we will provide you with an electronic invoice when your order is confirmed and processed. We will also provide a paper invoice with your product upon its arrival at your destination.

Can I change my payment method after placing an order?

We try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to managing payments. If you need to change your payment method, please contact us, and our support team will do what we can to assist you.

Do you charge VAT, and is it included in the price?

VAT is NOT included in the price quoted; please remember this before making a purchase. VAT will be applied to your order at the rate set on the date of delivery. 

RETURNS & REFUNDS

What is your return policy?

We will only provide you with returns if you have confirmed this in writing with us beforehand. We ask that all goods be returned to us in the same condition that they were upon their delivery. Otherwise, we cannot provide you with a return and refund. 

Can I return a product after it has been assembled?

No. Once a product has been assembled, it is no longer in the condition that it was delivered within and thus cannot be returned. If you have any questions about assembly, consider using our professional installation service to ensure everything fits exactly as it should. 

How long do I have to request a refund?

In the event of a refund requirement, we ask that you provide us with the refund request within a period of 30 days from your initial purchase. Please get in touch with us if you have any questions about our refund policy and process.

Are customized products eligible for return?

No, we do not offer returns on bespoke orders. The customisation process requires you to confirm that you are happy with the order beforehand; as such, we cannot return or refund bespoke garden shed products. 

Who covers the cost of return shipping?

If the goods you receive from Plymouth Sheds are faulty, then we will cover the cost of returning the product and replacing it with a suitable replacement. If you decide to cancel the order, then you will need to cover the cost of return shipping for your products. 

How long does it take to process a refund?

In the event of a refund, we do everything we can to ensure that you receive it as soon as possible. Our support team will contact you continuously to discuss the progress of your return. 

What should I do if my product arrives damaged or defective?

If you receive an incomplete, missing part, faulty, or otherwise damaged product, please contact us as soon as possible. As soon as you discover the discrepancy, you can contact us via phone or email, and a member of our team will look to address the issue as soon as possible. 

Can I exchange my product for a different size or style?

Again, we try to be as flexible as possible when it comes to fulfilling your needs. If you wish to exchange an order—for example, if you feel like you need one of our large garden sheds instead—please contact us, and we will do everything we can to accommodate this particular request.
